A Mt. Carmel man died in a grain bin accident Monday morning.
Wabash County authorities report 21-year-old Steven D. Haase was one of three people trapped in a bin in Mt. Carmel. Wabash County 911 received a call at 9:24am regarding the incident.
When emergency crews arrived, two of the three men were able to get out of the bin safely. Rescue crews continued efforts to get Haase out of the bin but were unable to do so until about 1pm.
Wabash County Coroner Shaun Keepes pronounced Haase dead at the scene.
