Stewardson-Strasburg school board members Wednesday approved the gutter and downspout portion of the district’s roof project for $69,896.54.
The Board also discussed an energy harness proposal on lighting upgrades, and approved the tentative amended budget for the current school year with final action expected in June.
In personnel matters, board members approved the extracurricular and sponsor list for the coming school year with the exception of 5th and 6th grade basketball coaching positions, and accepted the resignation of Mitch Martin as JV basketball coach. The Board voted to not renew the intergovernmental agreement with the Windsor district for school security officer services, and to not renew the intergovernmental agreement for nursing services with the Neoga district.
The Board hired Zachary Rardin as French teacher, hired Graycee Bridges as elementary paraprofessional, and hired Kaden Howard as junior high and high school English teacher, all for the coming school year, and accepted the resignation of John Fitzpatrick as fresh/soph boys basketball coach.
