The graduating classes of 2026 at St. Anthony High School and Effingham High School will hold their commencement exercises this weekend.
St. Anthony High School will hold their Baccalaureate Mass and Graduation Ceremony on Saturday evening. Father Peter Harman will celebrate the Mass with Concelebrant Father Jayke White and Joe Emmerich will be the deacon.
As far as the graduation ceremony, the co-valedictorians will be Ronan Bailey, Audrey LaSarge, Michael Wright and Laney Walker, while the Salutatorian will be Madison Walker.
At EHS, Solsiree Marquez will give the Welcome from the Class, to be followed by remarks from Senior Class President Ryley Engel and speeches from co-valedictorians Abby Feldhake, Maximus Greenwood, Maggie Jenkins, Isabella Jones, Emma Newlin, Berkley Pullen, Reese Wendling and Averie Wolfe.
EHS Principal Kurt Roberts will present the Class of ’26 to School Board President Jill Wendling, and class member Hayden Wendling will lead in the change of the tassel by class members.
