The Illinois House passed a resolution recently to honor the life of James “Jim” Bolin of Casey, who passed away in January.
Bolin was the visionary behind “Big Things in A Small Town” and collected 12 Guinness World Records titles for 21 different objects.
The sponsor of the bill, Rep. Adam Niemerg of Dieterich, said that Bolin was known and loved by people everywhere, but most importantly by his family and friends in Casey.
Rep. Niemerg and fellow resolution sponsors Rep. Brad Halbrook, Rep. Chris Miller, and Rep. Blaine Wilhour presented a copy of the resolution to the Bolin family at the capitol. In keeping with Bolin’s accomplishments in Casey, Niemerg said the representatives thought, what would be more appropriate than the world’s largest resolution?!
