As improvements continue at The Cross at the Crossroads, more space is needed. That led to a request from The Cross Foundation for a variance in a setback requirement.
The Foundation is wanting to replace their maintenance building with a larger facility. To place the new building in the same location, the variance is needed.
The Effingham Zoning Board of Appeals granted a reduction in the setback variance from 10 feet to four feet.
Statuary depicting the life of Jesus Christ is being placed on the Cross property.
