Dieterich school board members Monday purchased a Math curriculum for the junior/senior high school for $22,660. Dieterich Superintendent Cary Jackson said the Math department has been working hard to revamp the curriculum at the junior/senior high school. There will be additional course offerings, along with new curriculum paths for DHS students.
The Board renewed membership in IESA for the coming school year; approved a three-year technology managed service agreement with Quality Network Solutions; approved the annual food service management agreement with OPAA! Food Management at a 4.1% cost increase.
Board members purchased 60 Texas Instruments calculators for the high school Math program; approved the fee schedule for the coming year; and approved handbook changes for the coming school year. The Board also expelled a student for 24 months.
In personnel moves, the Dieterich board accepted resignations from Ryan Wohltman as junior high and high school head cross country coach, from Katie Roedl as assistant junior high girls basketball coach, and from Rebekah Repking as an aide. Nick Kimble was hired as junior/senior high Social Studies and History teacher, Seth Hinson as a special education teacher, and Emily Hall as an elementary teacher.
Jackson reported that the current roof replacement project has begun. The contractors anticipate the new roof work will be completed by the middle of May, with the addition of solar panels to begin after school is out in May.
