(VESSELS GATHER FOR THE BLESSING OF THE FLEET)
27 boats made up the procession that participated in the “Blessing of the Fleet” Sunday at Lake Sara.
Emily Fitch played the National Anthem to open the event then, following a prayer, Father Michal Rosa of Sacred Heart Catholic Church presided over the blessing.
There are plans to make the Blessing of the Fleet an annual event. Organizers have a tentative date of Saturday, June 7, 2026. Thanks to Scott Ealy for information and photos on the event.
