  • D.A.R. Flag Presentations in Effingham

    On Wednesday, April 29 at 2:00 p.m. at Effingham City Hall, the D.A.R. will have an America 250! Flag Presentation to the city. They will be giving four flags to the Mayor; County Board Head, E.P.D. Chief, and E.F.D. Chief, to fly at City Hall, the County Building, the E.P.D., and E.F.D. Station 1.

    United Way of Effingham County has released the application to receive funding from the 2026 Campaign.  Agencies requesting funds must be non-profit organizations with a 501(c)(3) certificate and provide health and human services within Effingham County.   • Drive-Thru Cookout in Teutopolis

    The Teutopolis Trap Team is hosting a Drive-Thru Cookout this Friday, May 1st, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Teutopolis Banquet Hall. All proceeds go to the Trap Team. Serving world-famous McMahon Meats porkburgers, brats, hamburgers, and hotdogs, with drinks and chips.  And for dessert:  scrumptious Niemergs cookies!
