Shuffle Class – from 9 to 10 a.m., Monday, October 12th, at the Suzette Brumleve Memorial Effingham Public Library. Get moving with us in our exciting new fitness class! Ages 18+. Registration required.
Mobile Justice Tour – with Land of Lincoln Legal Aid – from 2 to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 13th, at the Suzette Brumleve Memorial Effingham Public Library. The Mobile Justice Clinic is a fully equipped van that travels to towns, neighborhoods, and community centers, meeting people where they are and providing immediate access to legal help. No registration required.
Book Bites – from 4 to 5 p.m., Tuesday, October 13th, at the Suzette Brumleve Memorial Effingham Public Library. There’s a lot more to those noodles than a quick late-night snack! Take a delicious dive into the culinary history of ramen, then taste-test a variety of flavors! Ages 11-18. Registration required.
The Haunted Page, Tricks & Tales for October Eves – with William Pack – from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 14th, at the Suzette Brumleve Memorial Effingham Public Library. Edgar Allan Poe, Ray Bradbury, M.R. James, and Shirley Jackson provide the inspiration for 60 minutes of spine-tingling bizarre magic, spell-binding stories and macabre humor. Costumes encouraged. Ages 13+. Registration required.
Sculptures on the Avenue – from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, October 16th, at the Suzette Brumleve Memorial Effingham Public Library. Join the Effingham Tourism Office for a guided, walking tour
through downtown Effingham. Discover the stories behind the city’s public sculptures. Tour starts in the library café. All ages. Ages 14 and younger need to be with an adult. Please register all attendees.
Book Signing – with Mark Boggs – from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, October 17th, at the Suzette Brumleve Memorial Effingham Public Library.
