The Vandalia Grande Levee, a celebration hosted by the Vandalia Statehouse State Historic Site, will be held on Friday and Saturday, June 19 & 20.

Schedule of Events:

Friday, June 19 at 5:00 p.m., the Vandalia Historical Society will host a community ham & beans dinner.

Saturday, June 20:

8:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Vandalia Farmers’ Market
9:30 AM – 4:00 PM – Fayette County Museum Tours
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM – National Road Interpretive Center Tours
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM – All Following Events on Statehouse Lawn

• 1800s Period Demonstrations
• Children’s Activities
• Lincoln Presenter
• The Dulcimer Guy
• Fayette County Art Connection Painting & Wood Carving
• Rotary Club Free Funnel Cakes
• Homemade Root Beer
• Kettle Korn & Food Trucks

10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM – Performances by The Clockwork Clown
10:30 AM & 1:30 PM – Times In History, A Traveling Museum
11:00 AM – 1:00 PM – Wild Foam Adventures Giant Bubbles, Lucky R Mobile Petting Zoo
11:30 AM – 1:30 PM – Band – Folk Music
11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM – Performances by Professor Farquar & Polecat Annie
12:30 PM – Bryan Dale Headley, “The Singing Blacksmith” from Rural Heritage on RFD TV, will demonstrate the forging of an unfolded cross, which will be given to a member of the audience.

Other smaller items will be given away throughout the day.
