Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics

The Special Olympics of Illinois-Leg 16 would like to cordially invite you to join us in cheering on local athletes on Wednesday, June 10th, 7:30 a.m. at the old courthouse square in Effingham.
Supporters and participants will meet to kick off the Torch Relay as the Special Olympic Athletes will start by carrying the torch. They will then pass it off to local law enforcement runners who will run it from Effingham to Mattoon.
Illinois State Police Troop 9 and the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department greatly appreciate the community’s continued support for this wonderful event and look forward to seeing you there.
