There are no changes in the make-up of the Altamont Board of Education.
Dale Laue, Robert Roedl and Alonzo Shoaf were each re-elected in April. As far as officers, Dale Laue will remain board president, Dane Milleville remains vice president, and Chris Guse remains secretary.
The Altamont board hired WRF Engineering for future capital projects.
In personnel action, the Altamont board accepted resignations from Jessica Polk as junior cheer coach, Stephanie Morrison as 3rd grade teacher, Sabrena Florida as paraprofessional at the grade school, Logan Cornett as junior high assistant baseball coach, and Elizabeth Anderson as junior high girls track coach. The Board hired Amy Dial as 3rd grade teacher, Austin Harvey as technology director, Jessica Polk as high school cheer coach, Sidney Donaldson as JV girls basketball coach, and Ann Nelson as high school Student Council sponsor. The Board also approved administrative contract renewals for Katie Lurkins, Jeni Aldrich, Peggy Bueker and Kris Biggs.
The Altamont board also:
–determined that the current school budget does not vary beyond the threshold to need amended
–authorized Superintendent Casey Adam to seek fuel bids and bank bids
–appointed Dale Laue to represent the district on the EIASE governing board
–approved an overnight trip for FFA to attend the state fair in Springfield
–discussed health insurance options
