Marjorie (Stortzum) Cline, 83, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at her home with family by her side.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Marjorie was born on January 15, 1942, in Clay County, IL, the daughter of Paul and Kathleen Stortzum. She married Frederick Cline and he preceded her in death in 1993. Marjorie worked 41 years for the Federal Civil Service as a claims adjuster for the United States Air Force. She was caring and kind. Marjorie loved her family and was proud of them. She also was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Wayne) Weber; grandson, Robert Weber; stepchildren, Chris (Wendy) Cline, Renee (Nick) Shuk, and Erica (Terry) Bottom; 9 step-grandchildren; many step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Paulette (John) Colman, Dennis (Diana) Stortzum, Harvey (Mindy) Stortzum, and Kris (Steve) Beckert; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Fred.
