The US Department of Justice announced Wednesday the results of Operation Restore Justice, a coordinated enforcement effort to identify, track and arrest child sex predators.
The operation resulted in the rescue of 115 children and the arrests of 205 child sexual abuse offenders in the nationwide effort.
In the Southern District of Illinois, four individuals are facing federal charges. One of those is Trevor W. Yokley, 32, of Vandalia who is facing one count of attempting to entice a minor in Fayette and Effingham counties from January through April 2025. The charge carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years’ imprisonment, and a maximum sentence of up to life imprisonment.
