Effingham Academy of Gymnastics will be sending six girls to AAU Gymnastics Nationals in Fort Lauderdale, Florida June 18-21.
Those attending will be two Xcel Golds — Kenley Moore and Remi Lefever and four Xcel Diamonds — Sydney Stephens, Tessa Masterson, Abby Smith and Mac Anderson.
All six girls have been at EAG for five plus years and competing for at least two. This year they have attended at least four AAU sanctioned qualification meets and the AAU Ozark District Championships to qualify for the National championships. All six athletes finished in the top 3 at District championships.
Effingham Academy of Gymnastics has been owned and operated by Mark Stewart for 19 years. Over these years, EAG has trained several athletes who have won National and Junior Olympic championships. The Gymnastics Facility has fully operational uneven bars, balance beams, vault tables and floor exercise. There’s even parallel bars, rings and pommel horse for boy athletes.
