Angela was born on May 12, 1960, in Effingham, Illinois, to the late Peggy Lynn Flowers and Sammy Wayne Flowers Sr. She graduated from Effingham High School and spent the majority of her life residing in Altamont, Illinois.
Above all else, she was a proud and loving mother and grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joys, and she took immense pride in each of them.
Nothing meant more to her than the people she loved. She had a big heart, a stubborn streak, and a mind of her own. Although she sometimes tried to put on a tough exterior, her affectionate and loving nature always shone through. She was set in her ways, unapologetically herself, and loved her family fiercely. Her compassion extended to animals of every kind, especially cats, which she seemed to collect as though it were a hobby. She had a soft spot for creatures great and small, and there was always room in her heart for another.
She dreamed of adventure, traveling to new places, and seeing everything the world had to offer. That sense of curiosity and longing for adventure was part of what made her who she was. She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her tender heart, her stubborn determination, and the countless little things that made her uniquely herself. While her presence will be deeply missed, the love she gave and the memories she created will live on through her children, grandchildren, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.
She is survived by her two children, Travis Garcia (Janelle) of Dieterich, Tracy Moore (Jeff) of Olympia Washington; 9 grandchildren, Trayton, Taleah, Tanner, Tatum, Tydus, Caden, Ashton, Austin, and Amber; her brothers, Ronnie Flowers (Dana), David Farlow, Shannon Flowers, Todd Flowers, Kenny Hoffmann; Sisters, Danene Morgan, Cathy Flowers of Altamont; and stepmother Deretha Flowers of Heartville.
Angie is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Sammy Wayne Flowers Jr., Michael (Mike) Allen Flowers, Jerry Ray Hoffmann and daughter, Jennifer Diane Garcia.
