Alice V. Cooper, 97, of Champaign, Illinois formerly of Philo, Illinois passed away peacefully Monday, September 28, 2026, at Bickford Senior Living in Champaign, Illinois.
Alice was born July 30, 1929, in Cumberland County, Illinois the daughter of Tracy F. And Elsie (Myers) Shull. She attended school in Montrose, Illinois. Alice married Lowell Cooper on August 31, 1946, in Toledo, Illinois and they began their life together in rural Neoga, later moving to Philo, Illinois near Champaign. Lowell and Alice both loved God and realized early that they needed Him to be the head of their home. They gave their hearts to Him in Christian Baptism, at Toledo Christian Church in early 1950, worshiping and serving Him during their lives together. After moving to Philo, they became members of the Sidney Christian Church and continued to serve God and others during their years together. Mr. Cooper sadly passed away December 22, 2025.
Alice is survived by her son, Marvin L. Cooper and wife Kathy of Decatur, Illinois; one daughter, Marilyn Warren of Philo, Illinois; grandchildren, Lyndal Cooper of Golden Valley, Arizona, Kenneth Cooper of Decatur, Illinois, Kevin Cooper and wife Dawn of Decatur, Illinois, Jeanette Trujillo of Decatur, Illinois, Angela Wease and husband Chuck of Urbana, Illinois, Andrew Warren and wife Kimberly of Philo, Illinois; 21 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lowell; brothers, Elyza, Clifford, Joseph and Daniel: sisters, Zella, Mabel, Lucy and Cleo.
As per her request, Cremation Rites will be accorded and there will be a graveside service held at 1:30 PM Saturday October 17, 2026 in the Long Point Cemetery of Neoga Township, Illinois.
