Wright’s Furniture & Flooring is proud to announce the opening of its new Wright at Home location. The new building is on 307 South Willow Street and has been in operation since September 28th and is located across the street from its old store. To celebrate, they will be hosting a “Business After Hours” event on October 29th for the chamber members to see its new store and what it has to offer. The general public can visit the store Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Wright at Home originally began in 1997, specializing in details that make a house a home. The new store will feature a large space nearly double the size showcasing their commercial design services as well as new offerings and vendors displayed, while still offering in-home design consults, custom window treatments, flooring, showers, furniture and more.
Wright’s Furniture expressed the importance of staying in Effingham as it is close to their store in Dieterich and easily accessible if customers need further offerings or services in commercial design.
“We couldn’t be more excited to continue to serve Effingham in a newer and improved space,” Taylor Wright, who leads residential and commercial design across all Wright’s Furniture locations, said “We are opening our doors in a new building with a showroom that is bigger and better, but with the same commitment we have provided for nearly 150 years. This will be a significant day and we look forward to sharing it with out community.”
The new location will allow for an additional 3,000 square feet in comparison to the old store. With bigger space, Wright’s Furniture plans to maximize their showroom with space with a larger flooring and shade display.
“As we enter a new chapter, we are excited to continue to meet our customers’ individual need and expand on what we can offer them,” Wright said. “With a community-focused approach, this milestone marks a significant step forward in providing our customers the best quality of service.”
The former Wright at Home building is slated for removal as part of the Fayette Road expansion.
Wright’s Furniture & Flooring is a fifth-generation family-owned business celebrating its 137th anniversary this year. Wright’s features a large curated selection of quality living room, bedroom, dining room, home office, home accents, entertainment, commercial and custom furniture as well as a wide selection of flooring. The business offers design services through its Dieterich, Robinson, Taylorville, and Effingham locations, with Effingham also specializing in custom window treatments.
