Bernice Graumenz, 92, of Altamont died at 3:24 a.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at her home with her family by her side.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am., Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Altamont with Rev. Marcus Manley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery or the donor’s choice.
Bernice Evadean (Bandelow) Wolff Graumenz was born on Monday, February 19, 1934 in Effingham to Martin and Clara (Brauer) Bandelow. She married Orville F. Wolff on September 9, 1956 and he preceded her in death on April 25, 1978. She then married Harold Koss and they divorced and later she married Wayne A. Graumenz and he preceded her in death on April 26,
1999. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. In addition to raising her family she had worked as a housekeeper at Lutheran Care Center, Altamont.
She is survived by; her sons, Michael (Patricia) Wolff, Altamont and Bradley Wolff, Altamont; grandson, Mitchell (Shelby) Wolff, Altamont; great- grandsons, Beckett and Truett; granddaughters, Desiree’ Conrad, Nicole Gilliland and Brianne Gillespie; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husbands; brother, Keith (Lucille) Bandelow; one great-great grandchild and nephew, Allen Bandelow.
