Effingham High School blanked Mount Zion 9-0 in tennis competition Monday.
The Hearts swept through singles play as Eva Wendling claimed the No. 1 spot, 6-0, 6-0 while Nora Mitchell won at No. 2, 6-3, 6-0. Elle Keller took the No. 3 spot, 6-3, 6-0 and Emma Knaus won at No. 4, 6-0, 6-1.
Grace Bergbower had a fight at No. 5, winning 6-4, 5-7,10-5. Emery Spicer finished out at No. 6, winning 6-0, 6-1.
In doubles play, Wendling and Spicer combined at No. l to win 6-3, 6-4, Knaus and Bergbower finished at No. 2 by blanking their opponents 6-0, 6-0. The Hearts completed the sweep as Mitchell and Keller were also 6-0, 6-0 winners at No. 3.

The Bulldogs of St. Anthony held Greenville scoreless by a 9-0 tally Monday.
Nora Trupiano was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at the top singles spot. Avery Jones and Lily Hardiek blanked their opponents 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 and No. 6 respectively.
Ivy Daiber went three sets before winning at No. 3, 6-4, 4-6, 10-6. Bella Schultz claimed a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 4 and Morgan Stephens was a winner at No. 5, 6-1, 6-0.
In doubles play, Trupiano and Jones downed their opponents 6-2, 6-1. Vineyard and Schultz combined at No. 2 for the 6-1, 6-1 victory. Hardiek and Stephens were 6-1, 6-0 winners at No. 3.
