A local man has been sentenced to 38 years in prison for producing child sexual abuse material.
Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul said 24-year-old Landin Miller was sentenced in Effingham County Circuit Court after pleading guilty to two counts of video production of child sexual abuse material and two counts of still shot production of child sexual abuse material.
In May of 2024, State’s Attorney investigators, along with officers from the Effingham Police Department, conducted a search of Miller’s residence in Effingham. He was taken into custody and charged after investigators discovered evidence of child abuse material.
Raoul’s office co-prosecuted this case with Effingham County State’s Attorney Aaron Jones’ office.
“This sentence will protect children from abuse and exploitation,” Jones said. “My office commends the hard work and diligence from law enforcement in investigating this case.”
