Kay was born on December 12, 1945 in Centralia, daughter of Tony Piasse and Anna (Korzenewski) Piasse.She was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend who touched the lives of those around her with her nurturing spirit and vibrant love for life. Kay was cherished for her passion for flower gardening and her deep dedication to her family, especially her grandson and great-grandchild, who were the lights of her life. She enjoyed a special companionship of over 30 years with her most favorite significant other, Kenneth Cox, who brought her immense joy and companionship.
Kay is survived by her loving grandson, Myles Niedbalski, and his wife, Megan, residing in West Virginia, and her cherished great-grandchild, Odyn Niedbalski. She is also survived by two affectionate nieces, Karen Piasse and her husband, Curtis Hanlon of Homossassa, FL, and Laurie Reyes and her husband, Ken of Channahon, IL, as well as numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Tony and Anna Piasse, her dear son, Marvin Niedbalski, and her brother, Larry Piasse, and now joins them in peaceful rest.
A funeral service to celebrate Loretta’s life will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 11:00 am at the Hillcrest Lakeside Chapel in Centralia with Monsignor David Darin officiating. Visitation will occur on the same day, beginning before the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, offering family and friends a time to gather and reminisce. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital, a cause close to Kay’s heart.
