Here’s the Lineup for Homecoming Week at EHS

Following the Homecoming Parade and the Powder Puff game Sunday, activities will continue this week for Effingham High School Homecoming for 2026.

Here’s the rundown:

Monday, September 21  – 

• Special kickoff welcome for students before school – Passing out treats
• PJ Day
• Special Homecoming Week Library Activities –
• Student Council members to other schools to chalk sidewalks during 2nd hour 

Tuesday, September 22 – 

• Tropical Tuesday (Wear bright/floral colors)

Wednesday, September 23  –   

• No School

Thursday, September 24

• Birds of a Feather (Twin Day)

• 1st Annual Hearts Homecoming Olympics – Pep Assembly and Class vs. Class Games at football field
  • Same schedule as Water Olympics
  • Students who wish to participate in the games should sign up with their class president or at lunch at the “Ticket Sales Table” prior to Thursday
• Voting for King & Queen on the Chamber during English class

Friday, September 25 

• Freedom Friday (USA theme)

• Homecoming game @ 7:00 pm vs. Mahomet-Seymour on Klosterman Field at Washington Savings Bank Stadium
• Coronation during half time

Saturday, September 26 – Dance @ 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm (EHS gym)

• Dance tickets will be on sale during lunch hours September 15-22. Tickets will not be sold at the door.  

Tickets are $10.00.
