Robert was born on December 10, 1948, in Effingham, IL, the son of Daniel and Lucille (Waldhoff) Reardon. He married Wanda Boggs on November 12, 1969; together they shared 56 years of marriage and raised three sons. He served in the United States Navy 1967-1971 during the Vietnam War. Robert was a firefighter for the Effingham Fire Department for 23 years, then managed the Effingham DMV from 2004-2017. In retirement Bob loved to garden using his own tractor; he loved to watch in awe at the size and function of large heavy equipment in construction sites. Bob had a vast array of interests, building Legos, doing puzzles, stargazing, reading FATE magazines and was a handyman who would do all his own home repairs. Above all else, family was the most important part of Bob’s life; spending time with his grandchildren and the yearly tradition of Christmas BINGO.

Robert is survived by his wife, Wanda Reardon; sons, Ryan (Joan) Reardon, Dustin (Aly) Reardon, and Brent Reardon; grandchildren, Jasmine (Vincent S.) Graves, Jenalee (Kodi Avery) Reardon, Robert (Stormy Durkin) Reardon, Trent Reardon, and Jaxon Reardon; great-grandchildren, Daniel Graves, Vivian Graves, Vincent J. Graves; brother, John Reardon; sisters, Mary Jo (Nick) Althoff and Cathy Scott; sister-in-law, Nancy Reardon; uncle, Richard Waldhoff; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Cliff Reardon; and sister, Judy Reardon.
