Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City handed Mulberry Grove an 11-1 loss in five innings of high school baseball action Thursday.
Mulberry Grove moved into a 1-0 lead in the first inning and held that lead until the third. That’s when the Bobcats put up eight runs on the scoreboard and ended the game with three more in the fourth by the 10-run rule.
Isaac Wells led the way for the winners in hitting with two doubles and three RBI. Harlan McConkey had two singles. Lance Roadarmel had a single and an RBI and Max Kircher added an RBI.
McConkey was the winning pitcher tossing a two-hitter.
