ST. ELMO — St. Elmo/Brownstown is on a roll in high school volleyball competition.
The Eagles now own a seven match winning streak after downing Dieterich 25-19, 25-20 in National Trail Conference competition Tuesday.
Peyton Barker led the winners in kills with nine, digs with 12 and had one ace and one block. Addison Koonce led in assists with 22.
Mya Barker and Izzy Orr had one ace each. P. Barker and Miller had one block each.
St. Elmo/Brownstown improved to 3-0 in the NTC and 10-1 overall. The Eagles are back in action Thursday hosting NTC opponent Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg.

Newton remained unbeaten with a 26-24, 25-20 win over Charleston Tuesday.
Probst and Thomann led in kills with eight each while Probst led in blocks with four. Thomann led in digs with eight. Thomann and Miller finished with two aces each. Stanley led in assists with 27.
The Eagles are now a perfect 12-0 on the season.
In junior varsity play, Newton also was the winner, 25-19, 25-9. The two teams split freshman/sophomore victories. Charleston won 25-22 while Newton came back to take the second set 25-22.
Newton travels to Casey-Westfield Thursday.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg handed Teutopolis a loss in junior varsity and varsity competition Tuesday.
The Hatchets won the varsity contest, 25-14, 25-23 to improve to 8-3 on the season.
Mya Friese, Zaida Wascher and Kenzie Thompson had one ace each for the winners. Wascher led in kills with 10. Kendra Hayes had 22 assists and 22 digs. Brooke Schumacher and Sophi Greuel had one solo block each.
“It’s always fun playing T-town,” said WSS Coach Ronda Schlechte. “They are big and run a quick offense and that is something that we need to see to keep improving. Mya, Zaida and Brooke all had great nights at the net and Kendra on defense. We let down after a good lead in the second set but fought our way back in the end.”
T-town was led by T. Tegeler with nine kills and four aces, Zumbahlen with 13 digs, Jordan with 35 sets and 14 assists.
The Shoes fall to 9-4 on the season.
In junior varsity play, Windsor/Stew-Stras won 25-22, 25-10 and improves to 5-1. T-town drops to 4-4.
A freshman/sophomore match went to T-town 25-23, 25-21. The Shoes are 5-1-1 on the season. Windsor/Stew-Stras is 4-3-2.

Effingham St. Anthony defeated Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City in two sets, 25-6, 25-5 Tuesday evening.
Cara Hatton led the Bulldogs in kills with eight. Madelyn Gilmore had 20 assists. Colby McCormick led in aces with four. Cara Hatton and Claire Kinkelaar finished with seven digs each. Gilmore and Sophia Emmerich had one block each.
St. Anthony also won the junior varsity match 25-20, 25-12 and a freshman/sophomore contest 25-14, 25-16.
The Bulldogs improved to 9-1 and returns to action Thursday at Marshall.

Neoga captured a two-set victory over Altamont Tuesday evening, 25-23, 25-17.
Leading Altamont were Keely Fleeharty and Jillian Tappendorf with three kills each. Adilyn Schnarre had 12 assists, seven digs and two aces. Abigail Wills also had seven digs. Lydia Aldrich had three block assists.
