Altamont school board members Monday approved a revised agreement with the City of Altamont.

The agreement will take care of electrical needs being generated by the school construction project underway, with the City using TIF money to pay for the project. The work will be done over the Columbus Day holiday so as not to disrupt the school calendar.

The school board employed Kendyl Schultz as a high school volunteer assistant dance coach and employed Brad Knott as a high school volunteer assistant soccer coach for the 2026 season.

Board members also named member Dale Laue as the district’s delegate for the state school board convention, approved the annual joint agreement with OKAW Vocational Center, and approved a special education coop agreement with Eastern Illinois Area Special Education.

The Altamont board also recognized the Altamont Trap team and its coaches.
