ALTAMONT — Wayne City took a 2-0 opening inning lead but that didn’t last long as Altamont came back to tie the score with single runs in the second and third then ended the game with a 10-run fifth, 12-2 Monday in high school baseball.
The Indians finished with eight hits led by Xavier Logue with a single, double and two RBI and Kaiden Wolff with a double and two RBI. Zaine Miller added two singles and Kale Davis had a single and an RBI.
Reed Stuemke went the five innings, giving up two runs on five hits. Stuemke did not walk a batter and struck out three.

At Teutopolis
Teutopolis pushed its fall record to 9-1 by blanking South Central, 11-0 in five innings Monday.
The victory came behind a no-hitter by Hayden Tebbe. Tebbe tossed the five innings, giving up three walks while striking out eight to improve his record to 2-1.
Meanwhile, T-town finished with seven hits led by Eric Weidner’s two doubles and three RBI. Aidan Niemerg had a triple. Jake Kocher and Teagan Pals finished with a single and an RBI each.
The Shoes won’t be back in action until competing in the Cardinal Classic Saturday against North Clay at 9 a.m.
South Central dropped to 6-5 on the season and returns to action today against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg.

Dieterich was a 12-2 winner in five innings over Centralia Christ Our Rock Lutheran Monday.
Dieterich held a 4-1 lead after two innings then tacked on three in the third and ended the game via the 10-run rule in the fifth inning.
The Maroons’ Logan Gipson tossed a six-hitter with two walks and three strikeouts.
Bryce Bohnhoff was hot at the plate with two singles, a home run and five RBI. Traden Kessler finished with a double and an RBI. Alex Schottmann added a single and two RBI and Colin Nichols a single and an RBI.
