Gilbert Albert Garbe, age 84, of rural Dieterich, Illinois, passed away at 6:08 PM on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the Saint John Lutheran Church, 22775 East 700th Avenue, Dieterich, Illinois, with Pastor Gary Fortkamp and Pastor Dean Herberts officiating. The burial will be in the Dieterich Village Cemetery south of Dieterich, Illinois. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, September 11, 2026, at the church and again from 10:00 AM until service time on Saturday.
