Effingham took on St. Anthony in a hot victory and won 10-1 Wednesday.
St. Anthony had a early hurt player so senior Eli Hiatt, another of the captains, stepped in to take the lead in defense. LaSarge played well as a center back, even with a previous injury.
Early in the first half, Miller scored the opening goal, and St. Anthony was up. Effingham was able to get behind and take defense to another level when they had some players get hurt. They scored four times, but St. Anthony was giving it all they got.
In the half time, St. Anthony had to replace Jackson. They continued to struggle with injuries, with the starting defender and couple more players being hurt. Effingham was scoring even though St. Anthony was dealing with a depleted squad, They all played a good game and had multiple great efforts.
