A local man has been given prison time after pleading guilty to a series of offenses.
41-year-old Jerrod Estes of Teutopolis was sentenced to five years in prison on counts of false impersonation of an officer and aggravated battery in a public place. Estes was sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty of unlawful restraint and aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon.
Judge Allan Lolie agreed that the sentences will run concurrently.
The offenses were committed in 2024 and 2025.
