NEOGA — Teutopolis moved into a 3-0 opening inning lead and went on for a 16-2 victory over Neoga in five innings of high school baseball action Thursday.
The Wooden Shoes banged out 15 hits led by B. Niebrugge with two singles, a double and three RBI. Co. Cornell had home run and two RBI. E. Weidner added a single, double and two RBI. D. Drees had a double and two RBI and D. Thompson a double and an RBI. M. Habing finished with two singles and an RBI. W. Bushur added a double and B. Niemerg finished with a single and an RBI.
L. Niebrugge was the winning pitcher. He went the first two innings giving up only one hit, no walks while striking out three.
Neoga was led by C. Hakman with two singles and an RBI and E. Fearday with a single and an RBI.

Brownstown/St. Elmo moved into a 6-3 opening inning lead and went on to hold off Wayne City for the 10-8 victory Thursday.
Both teams had six hits each. BSE was led by Zayden Gillespie with a single, double and three RBI. Dodge Willms had a double and two RBI while Jayce Gillespie and Tucker Davison added a double each.
Gavin Schnarre was the winner on the mound in relief. He went four innings, giving up two runs, two hits, two walks and struck out nine.
