Another long meeting of the Effingham City Plan Commission on Wednesday night was still not enough to cover all testimonies and questions regarding a proposed solar field, so a continuation of the meeting has been scheduled.
The solar field is proposed to be near Dutch Lane, with petitioners submitting some new information but mostly updating previous submittals. Several hours of testimony, questions, and some answers came from those in support and opposed to the project.
Since testimony from some of those opposed was still unheard, it was decided that another meeting would be needed. The Effingham City Plan Commission will continue discussion of the proposal at another special meeting at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, September 9th, with a notice of this forthcoming from the City.
