Teutopolis village board members have reached a potential Tax Increment Financing intergovernmental agreement with the Teutopolis Unit #50 school board.
At the village board’s next meeting on September 2, they plan to offer the school district $75,000 a year for three years, then a $50,000 increase every three years. No payment will be above 15% of the total TIF income.
The Board also approved a change order of $3,687.50 for work on Harvester Street; approved a bid of $94,777 for sanitary sewer extensions and watermain improvements for Ruholl Trailer Sales; and discussed using cameras to detect lift station and storm sewer infiltration.
Board members also approved two payments of TIF funds totaling about $129,000 for contracts with Farmweld.
The Board also discussed the impending retirement of Village Building Official Tony Esker after 33 years’ service, and reviewed the results of the public informational meeting concerning the Teutopolis Main and Southern Row neighborhood pedestrian project. The Village is intending to seek grant funds for the project by October 5.
