Lake Land College trustees heard the latest on the Effingham Technology Center this month.
Director Jerry Tkachuk said interest in the Center is growing, especially in non-allied health courses. Tkachuk said there have been 93 meeting requests at the Center this year.
The Center has received many thanks since a fire in Altamont left the Meals on Wheels program without a home. The work on a new location is nearing completion.
Tkachuk also reviewed the CORE Academy’s operation at the Technology Center, saying Criminal Justice and Electric Vehicle courses are growing. He said the College is also looking at outreach to home schoolers.
