As heard on Wednesday’s Morning Show, Greg Sapp announced his upcoming retirement from the radio stations of Premier Broadcasting.

With Premier’s Dave Ring accompanying him in the studio, Greg said he will be wrapping up his position as Station Manager, News Director, and On-Air Host at the end of September 2026.  Stating that last year had some interesting things going on, plus turning 70 last May, which all helped him know that “it was time”.  Explaining that this is all good, the only downside was that he will miss the radio crew and the listeners.

Described as being one the the hardest working people in radio, and the “Voice of Effingham”, Greg said “I feel great, I just am ready to find what else there is out there”.  That may include some trips to MLB ballparks that he hasn’t been to yet.

With a 52 year career in radio, 32-1/2 of those years have been with Premier Broadcasting, which began on January 3rd, 1994.   Greg said that the others proceeding him were “great sharers of information” and that as far as news, all of the listeners have been the best source of information.

Congratulations and we wish God’s Blessings on Greg in his upcoming retirement.
