Nominating petitions for a seat on the Effingham City Council will be available beginning August 25.
The election will take place on April 6, 2027 to choose a Mayor and four Commissioners. Each of those elected will receive a four-year term on the Council.
Signed nominating petitions must be filed in the City Clerk’s Office between 8am on November 16 through 5pm November 23.
The City Clerk’s Office is located in City Hall at 201 East Jefferson Avenue in Effingham. Regular office hours are 7:30am to 4:30pm Mondays thru Fridays.
