North Clay Junior high baseball lost against Cisne Wednesday 7-1. JV took a win 3-0.
Their next game is Thursday at Sacred Heart at 4:30 p.m.
At Mount Zion
Effingham St. Anthony suffered a loss to Mt. Zion, 7-2 Wednesday. Mt. Zion shut out a win.
Effingham St. Anthony hits were by Niebrugge, Dust, Wohltman, Verdeyen, Gilmore, Bierman and Hoene, with singles. Dust and Bierman had RBI each.
Dust and Ludwig pitched a strong game and Ludwig went five of the nine innings.
Mt. Zion had a strong start with a 2-0 lead and added another two runs in the second.
