Monday will be a busy day at the Effingham County Fair.
Due to Sunday’s rainout, there will be 15 heats of harness racing, starting with Jeffers Memorial Stakes. Due to the number of heats scheduled, post time will be 11am. Every heat will be aired on KJ County 102.3.
The Freedom 250 Museum will be open from 11am to 9pm. The Community Showcase will be presented at 3:30pm and 5:30pm in the Schuetzenfest Building.
Cole Burrell will perform on the free stage at 5pm.
The feature evening event is the ITPA Truck, Tractor, and Garden Tractor Pull starting at 6pm, sponsored by Dust and Son and Wix Filters.
The 4-H and Junior Show schedule includes the junior beef show at 7:45am, the 4-H swine show at 8am, the junior meat goat show at 12:30pm, and the 4-H sheep show at 3pm. The open show schedule today includes the Class F sheep show and the Class A beef show at 7:45am.
A reminder that Emma Beckman will share 4-H results at 8:45am on KJ County 102.3.
The Effingham County Fair runs through Saturday at Altamont.
