ALBION — It’s been 11 years since harness racing was held at the Edwards County Fair and Thursday, horses and drivers again took to the track in nine heats of racing.
Newton’s JD Finn came away with four driving victories. Finn claimed his first win behind Goomzilla, owned and trained by Dennis Gardner, in the ISA 2-Year-Old Colt/Gelding Trot.
Goomzilla went the distance with a time of 2:03 1/5.
Finn captured the final three races on the card. He sat behind Zoomster in the ISA 3-Year-Old Colt/Gelding Trot. The pair won in 2:00 1/5. Zoomster is also owned and trained by Gardner.
Finn then won with Summer Gram for trainer Thomas Graham Jr. He guided Summer Gram to victory in the 2 & 3 Year Old Open Pace in 2:04 3/5.
Finn then guided Zabony to the win for trainer/owner Gardner in the 2 & 3 Year-Old Open Trot.
The pair went the distance in 2:08.
