Valerie Ann Tenczar, 93 of Effingham, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2026 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
No public services are being held at this time. Arrangements are in the care of Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham.
Valerie was born February 15, 1933 in Chicago, the daughter of John and Stephanie Klein. She married Chester J. Tenczar on December 2, 1950 and he preceded her in death in 2004.
She is survived by her sons, Joseph (wife, Debbie) and Thomas, both of Effingham.
Valerie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Dolores M. Swiderski.
