Roger Alan Randall, 73, of Beecher City, passed away at 2:53 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham.
In accordance with Roger’s wishes, no services will be held.
Roger was born on September 21, 1952, in Shelbyville, the son of Billy and Carolyn (Buzzard) Randall. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1974. A talented carpenter and skilled woodturner, Roger had a passion for creating handcrafted wood pieces, especially his beautiful wooden bowls, which were admired by many. He enjoyed using his talents to create special gifts for his family, including handcrafted breadboards and rolling pins for his nieces and little wooden rocking chairs for his great-nieces and great-nephews. These treasured creations are lasting reminders of the love and care he had for his family. Roger was a devoted uncle who loved spending time with those he cared about. He also enjoyed reading, hunting morel mushrooms, and following his favorite sports teams, including the St. Louis Cardinals, Fighting Illini basketball and football, and many other sporting events.
He is survived by his brothers, Neal Randall, Dale (Trudy) Randall, David (Nancy) Randall, and Harold (Shelby) Randall, all of Beecher City; nieces, Megan (James) Carpenter, Bailey (Dave) Wolff, Jamie Randall, Brandy (Brian) Watson, Sarah (Shane) Haslett, Carmen (Shane) Sutter, Amy (Tommy Baker) Randall, and Maria (Nicholas) Kline; and 21 great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Nancy Ellen Randall.
