Debra Lea McClure, 69, of Effingham, IL, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 13, 2026 at Effingham Healthcare and Senior Living.
Private family services will be held at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham with Rev. Trey Dille officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Effingham, IL. Deb was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Effingham. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made directly to St. John’s Lutheran Food Pantry, St. John’s Lutheran Library, or donor’s choice. Debra was born on December 18, 1956, in Effingham, IL, the daughter of Bruce and Roselle (Hollmann) McClure. Deb was a traveling registered nurse for many years fulfilling her dream of traveling. She was also an avid reader with a love for books.
She is survived by her sisters, Pat (Don) Wendte of Watson and Karen (Lee) Hartman of Shumway, and Tarry (Dan) Norris of Port St. Lucie, FL; brother, Larry (Wanda) McClure of Sullivan; and several nieces and nephews.
Deb was preceded in death by her parents.
