Stacy Wharton, 55, of Mason, IL died at 4:46 p.m., Monday, July 13, 2026 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham.
A memorial service will be held from 2-5 p.m., Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont. Memorials may be made to breast cancer research or the donor’s choice.
Stacy Rae Wharton was born on Friday, April 2, 1971 in Effingham to Presley L. and Shirley (Robison) Jones. She married Loren ‘Tater’ Wharton on October 2, 2021 and he preceded her in death on July 4, 2026. She worked as an administrative assistant at the Y-Yard in Effingham.
She is survived by; her son, Wade Stuckey, Altamont; step-daughters, Tegan (Jayden) Booth, Austin, TX and Tayli Wharton, Altamont; sisters, Sherry (Charles) Snively, East Alton and Sally Reed, Effingham; brothers, Milan (Linda) Robison, Jeffrey (Karla) Jones, Effingham and Jerry (Mona) Jones, Altamont; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by; her sister, Susan Pagel.
