FAIRFIELD — Wyatt Avenatti had quite a day at the Wayne County Fair Thursday.
Avenatti led the field at the harness races as he drove six winners to victory in the 14 races that were contested.
The field went through four races before Avenatti guided Abc Gangster to the win in the ISA 2-Year-Old Colt/Gelding Trot.
The duo went the distance in 2:18 1/5.
Avenatti then took Fox Valley Mai Tai to the win in the ISA 3-Year-Old Filly Pace, Division 2. The pair won in 2:06 3/5. Both horses in the first two wins were trained by David Avenatti.
Avenatti also claimed the next two victories. He guided Smoknthmsomestars to the win in the ISA 3-Year-Old Colt/Gelding Pace in 2:07. Kevin Miller was the trainer.
He then sat behind Shady Maple Caddy in the ISA 3-Year-Old Filly Trot and won in 2:13.0. Earl Avenatti was the trainer.
The fifth win came in the ISA 3-Year-Old Colt/Gelding Trot, Division 1. Avenatti led Zoomster to the win in 2:04 2/5. Dennis Gardner trained.
The sixth victory was in the ISA 3-Year-Old Colt/Gelding Trot, Division 2. Tow Nater won with a time of 2:06. Gardner was the trainer.
Charles Arthur and Clark Fairley drove two winners each. Arthur won the opening race, the ISA 2-Year-Old Filly Pace behind Shopping Party in 2:12. In race 3, the ISA 2-Year-Old Filly Trot, Division I, he guided G Lucky Gem to victory in 2:19.
Clark Fairley also claimed two driving wins. In the ISA 2-Year-Old Colt/Gelding Pace, Fairley guided Fredred Summer to the win in 2:08 4/5. He also trained Fredred Summer.
In the ISA 3-Year-Old Filly Pace, Division 1, Fairley won behind Illini Deceptive in 2:06. Fairley also trained Illini Deceptive.
