Mayme M. Burk, 88 of Effingham, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham.
Mayme was born November 12, 1937 in Ingraham, the daughter of Elijah and Orie (Bryant) Kepley. She spent many years working for Dr. John Schlanser at Schlanser Chiropractic Center in Effingham.
Mayme was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Stacy Ann Burk; siblings: Grace Mullins, Noma (Paul) Mullins, Leone Kepley, Lowell (Shirley) Kepley, and Nolan (Ginger) Kepley.
Honoring Mayme’s wishes, burial will take place at Arborcrest Memorial Park, and no public services will be held. Arrangements are in the care of Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham.
