Our own Millie Lange took to the air Thursday morning to capture more photos of the damage done by severe storms in Effingham County on Wednesday night.
Local pilot Doug McDevitt, a member of the Effingham County Airport Commission, contacted us to see about taking photos from his plane. Millie jumped at the chance and soon she and Doug were skyward.
They viewed a large part of the county and Millie took photos of Mid America Motorworks and some farms. Here are the photos…

The National Weather Service office in Lincoln is now reporting three tornado sightings. They were spotted three miles east-southeast of Shumway at 8:07pm, two miles southwest of Montrose at 8:22pm, and 1-1/2 miles northwest of Dieterich at 8:08pm.
