The Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association released the All-State baseball teams.
Teams are selected by the IHSBCA Board from the nominations of the head coach from each team. A player must be nominated by their head coach to be considered for All-State.
Several area players gained honors.
Named to the Class 1A team was Jack Compton, a senior from North Clay.
Four area players were named to the Class 2A All-State Team and those were Carter Braddy, a junior from Effingham High School, Austin Borries and Jason Kreke, seniors from Teutopolis High School and Quincy Fulton, a sophomore from Newton High School.
Honorable Mention in Class 2A went to Davin Worman, a senior from Teutopolis High School.
