Roger Keith Quick, 85, of Farina, passed away at home on Thursday, June 4, 2026, with his loving wife by his side.

He was born on April 28, 1941, to Carl Leroy Quick and Vida Viola Whitt in Farina, Illinois. He married Julia Ann Haseley on February 12, 1972, and they would spend 54 amazing years together.

He is survived by his wife: Julia Quick; son: Thomas (Toma) Quick; daughter: Lisa (Brad) McElroy; four grandchildren: Brittney McElroy, Heather McElroy, Torre McElroy, and Luciana Quick; three great-grandchildren: Brooklyn McElroy-Fopay, Maddalyn McElroy, Gabriel McElroy; and sister: Janet Gesell.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Carl and Viola Quick; brother-in-law: Van Gesell; and niece: Gina White.

Roger was a lifelong bricklayer/contractor, even having his own masonry business Roger K Quick Masonry. He was an avid fisherman. He was a St. Louis Cardinals and Fighting Illini fan. He loved his dog, Taz. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday June 7, 2026, at 3:00 pm at the First Southern Baptist Church in Farina, with Pastor Ron Mulvaney officiating. Burial will follow at the Farina Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 2:00 pm till the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriner’s Hospital or Salem Animal Control and will be accepted at the service or Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home, PO Box 97, Salem, Illinois 62881.
