Shelby County board members filled a vacancy on the board at this month’s meeting, but another vacancy remains.
The Board named Chad Yantis to a seat from Board District #9. Yantis was appointed to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Gene Price.
However, the Board will now work to fill a vacancy created by Tricia Miller’s resignation. Miller was a member from District #7.
The Board heard from Matt Overbeck, who owns property adjacent to a site being proposed as a junkyard, and also reviewed pay rates for those to be elected this November. The salaries must be set by statute before the new terms begin.
